Luxury car maker Lexus presented a long awaited new luxury model during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It was the LC500, the production model based on the in 2012 presented LF-LC concept-car.
The sports coupe stands on the new platform, which all future rear wheel driven Lexus models will be using. For Lexus the LC500 represents a new era and is one of it’s flagship models.
The LC500 measures 4,76m in lenghth (15.61ft), 1,92m width (6.23ft) and is only 1,35m high (4.42ft). So if you compare this with the Mercedes S-class coupe it is a couple of centimeters wider and lower but also a bit shorter.
The LC500 has a 5.0-liter V8, stolen from the RC-F and GS-F, with 477HP and 530 NM torque (389 lb.-ft. of torque). No manual shifting here, there is a new 10-trap automatic gearbox with double clutch and it goes in a merely 4,5 seconds to 100 km/h (62 m/hr). And for the real sports car enthousiast, it has rear-wheel-drive!!
As usual we have some nice pictures and a video for you and please share this if you like what we are showing you.
