Bentley added a new model to their Flying Spur series: The Flying Spur V8 S. Yes, this is a model S, a speed model so to say because, well you know, Bentley is a sportive automobile brand. You find Bentleys on speedways and racing circuits. and not in the parking lot but driving at high speeds. And Bentleys are extraordinary luxury cars, no doubt about that. So here it is then, the Bentley Flying Spur V8 S.
On the outside Bentley changed some things in the styling department. They added a black radiator grille and rear diffuser and a unique new grill insert. But the biggest changes were made under the hood.
Bentley revised the suspension for improved body control and car handling so the big car is better to drive.
They added 21 PS so it delivers 528 PS (521 bhp / 388 kW) compared to its V8 sibling’s 507 PS (500 bhp / 373 kW). A mighty 680 Nm (502 lb.ft) is on offer from 1,700 rpm. This powers the Flying Spur V8 S to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds (0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds), shaving 0.3 seconds from the V8’s already athletic sprint time. Top speed is 306 km/h (190 mph).
The Flying Spur V8 S will debut at the Geneva Motor Show starting March 1st 2016.
