Spyker is back again. In Geneva the new C8 Preliator was shown to the world. Quoting Enzio Ferrari “What’s behind you, doesn’t matter” Spyker’s CEO Victor Muller without a doubt was referring to turbulent times Spyker has gone through in recent times.
The C8 Preliator (Latin for “Warrior”) is the successor of the Aileron and you can see its roots lying in the aviation heritage of the company.
The luxury sports car will be assembled in Coventry, UK and will be available in 16 standard colors but discerning customers may choose any colors they wish as an option.
The car stands on 19″ Turbofan wheels and that looks good but the best part is the engine, an Audi 4,2 liter V8 Engine with supercharge, giving 525 BHP to the car through a 6-speed Getrag manual gearbox. A ZF 6-speed automatic gearbox with standard paddle shifts behind the steering wheel comes as an option. You are in 3,7 seconds to 100 km/h and the max speed has been limited to 322 km/h.
Spyker is known for its sumptuous interiors and you can choose out 0f 14 colors of the finest leather available but any other color can be ordered as an option.
The in-car entertainment has been taken care of very well with a high-end sound system with a digital radio, Bluetooth interface and Apple iPhone connectivity and of course there is a navigation system operated from the Head-Up Display.
Production is limited to 50 units and price starts at €324.900,– excl. options and taxes.
